Why did you choose these birds?

Dove traits

The traits that a Dove has reminds people of me, for example Doves  are friendly, sensitive and patient, which I'm not really patient sometimes. I'm really friendly when I meet new people and I'm super sensitive when someone tells me off or yells at me.

Owl traits

Being Cautious, reserved and less adventurous is the traits that me and an Owl have in common. I'm really cautious when it comes to my surroundings and I also don't like doing stuff out of my comfort zone which would be going out and doing physical activities. Lastly being reserved I'm really polite and I have a lot of self control 

What countries are your bird/s found in?

If you were to find an Owl you would have to travel to North America and the Carribean.

Or if you were trying to find a Dove then you would go to Canada and all of the lower 48 states down to Mexico.

What are some fears your bird/s have?

Owls are afraid of lous noises which are yelling or clapping really loud.

Doves are afraid of larger birds or predators that would easily prey of them.

Does your bird/s migrate?

An Owl does not migrate but they are forced south of their range to search for food.

Doves do migrate, they leave the southern states in spring and may migrate as far north as southern Canada.

How big is this bird/s?

The length of an Owl ranges from 61 to 84 cm which its average size 72 cm if it is a female or  67 cm if a male.

A Doves length is 22 to 36 cm. The mass of a Dove would be 120g

My BIBLE speech

This is my speech for this year at Mairehau High School, my speech was about the bible and why it is important to people.

Did you know the Bible is one of the oldest manuscripts in the world? The trusty Book the Bible stands for the basic instruction book for living on the Earth which was said to be created by Moses in approximately 1300 BC. In my speech, I will be talking about what the bible means to chirstianity, who were Christ’s disciples and why we should read it. 

What does the BIBLE represent to Christianity the BIBLE is The inspirational word of God, it has 2 testaments, the old and the new which represent the stories of everyone who fully believed in God and Jesus Christ who they were called his disciples, which leads to the next paragraph…

Who were Christ's disciples? (The meaning of a disciple is a personal follower of Christ). Their names Were: Simon and his brothers Andrew, James, John, Phillip, Bartholomew, Thomas, James,Mathew,  Judas son of James and Judas Iscariot who became a traitor later on and Peter. All of them were ordered to baptize people in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit and to teach them to obey what Christ has to say.

Why should we read the BIBLE? Now for this topic, I'm not saying you HAVE to read the BIBLE. Anyways coming back to the topic, why I think we should read the BIBLE is because it tells stories like legitimate stories that you wouldn't think would be in a regular storybook like take noah and ark thats a story that everyone knows because its in a well known movie ice age or moses in the basket thats also a well known story because of the prince of egypt, reading the bible is a step closer to the lord above and it's a step closer to Christs who died for our sins, the BIBLE is a meaningful sacred book.

Now that I have come to the conclusion of my speech, everything that I have said  is what I believe in and what I think is real. This whole speech is meaningful to me because this involves my family's religion and what they also believe too. I'm going to end off my speech with a bible verse for today:For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you.

Name

My name is Amelia and it originally came from German. My name means work in Latin which is so sad but like I get why it means work, because I am like the only hard working in the class. Two famous people with my name are Amelia Earhart and Amelia Warner. Amelia Earhart was the first female to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean. She wrote the most selling books about her experience about being the  pilot. Amelia Warner is an English musician she was also a former actor and acted in a lot of movies like: The Echo, Lorna Donne, Gone etc.

The reason I chose what I chose was because I have black long hair and I like to wear other people’s glasses because I sometimes don't wanna see some people [i'm just kidding]. I chose the background because I think it looks cool like me.

Any Tom Gates book The Help Any Diary of the wimpy kid

The Reason why I like these books is because they are short to read and they're really eye-catching. Also The Help is a good movie to watch. My favourite place to read is in my room because I feel more at ease when I'm in my private place.

Strength

My strengths are really unique. I appreciate beautiful things. I am really spiritual. I believe in God and other things that are involved in that topic. I give a lot of love and kindness to the people around me and I have a great sense of humour. I'm known to forgive easily but I can't help it. Lastly I always have another point of view to anything that I'm working on.

Treasure

What people are important to you? What an important item to you?

My important people are my family. The reason why is because they are obviously my family and they always love and support me. My baby blanket because I had when I was a baby and my grandma gave it to me.

A bad memory

A bad memory I remembered is when  we had that school lock down. It was so scary and I was separated from my siblings.

Relatives

I live with my Mum and three of my siblings. I got two cousins that attend this school.

The future

When I leave school I don't know what I would do but I think it's because I'm still new to high school. I thought about being a flight attendant  last year but now I am kinda second guessing. Maybe when I'm near my final year I will probably know what I want to do. I would like to visit Korea one day. That's my number 1 place I want to go to. I would really like it if my cousin and my sister came with me but it is up to them about their future. My future goal is to do well for the rest of my high school years and focus on my education to get a good job.  How am I gonna achieve it? Just do well and attend every class.
